Job Description We are currently seeking to employ experienced Teachers of English for Jumeirah College, Dubai. This appointment is for September 2025 start. English is the most popular subject at A Level in our College; with 18 groups across the entire A Level cohort, this is a fantastic opportunity to teach English to an advanced level. Behaviour in the College is ‘outstanding’ and the positive relationships between student and teacher, alongside the highly motivated students means that teachers can focus on teaching their subject. The successful candidate will work in an exceptional department. In 2024 the results were outstanding. In GCSE English Language/Literature over 98% of students achieved grades 9-4. At A Level English Language – 67% achieved A* - B out of which 11% were A*/A. English Literature – 85% achieved A* - B out of which 38% were A*/A. Skills The successful applicant will be required to have the following: A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge. At least 2 years’ experience of the National Curriculum for England. Experience of teaching English Language and Media Studies up to A Level is a preference.
