Bachelor’s Degree in Education
Must hold an appropriate Alabama Professional Educator Certificate
Must meet the suitability criteria for employment as required by the Alabama
Child Protection Act of 1999 and ACT No. 2002-457
REPORTS TO: PrincipalANNUAL CALENDAR DAYS: 187 (9 Months)RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish strong working relationships with leadership at area schools and daycares to coordinate work-based learning experiences for students.
Provide aspiring teachers with resources to support their path into the teaching profession.
Collaborate with industry professionals to ensure alignment between the Education pathway and regional workforce needs.
Coordinate and manage the state-recognized Career Tech Student Organization
Appropriately budgets and spends federal, state, and local funds to support CTE programs.
Define goals and objectives for unit and daily plans based on knowledge and understanding of curriculum.
Identify specific intended learning outcomes which are challenging, meaningful and measurable.
Plan and prepare a variety of learning activities considering individual student’s culture, learning styles, special needs, and socioeconomic background.
Develop or select instructional activities which foster active involvement of students in the learning process.
Plan and prepare lessons and instructional strategies which support the school improvement plan and the system mission.
Establish and maintain a positive and safe learning environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized learning environment.
Establish and use behavior management techniques which are appropriate and effective.
Establish routines and procedures and work with students on consistently following them.
Create a learning climate that is challenging, yet non-threatening.
Establish appropriate testing environment and ensure test security.
Establish and maintain efficient record keeping procedures.
Assist in enforcement of school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy.
Encourage self-assessment by students and assist them in developing plans for improving their performance.
Use appropriate material, technology, and resources to help meet learning needs of all students.
Provide instruction on safety procedures and proper handling of materials and equipment.
Provide accurate and timely information to parents and students about academic and behavioral performance of students.

Expected salary: $48908 - 94085 per year
