The Role As an online ESL instructor, the primary duty is to teach students in an engaging manner. Job Type: Part-time Starting Pay: We are excited to have a new starting hourly wage of $17.79/hr (with ESL Certification), and up to $20/hr! Requirements: Requirements This role is remote and USA-based for teachers who are living in any state except: who are living in any state except: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Washington, or Washington DC. • Education: Associate degree minimum The Block Schedule Our teaching hours start in the evening, and vary depending on your time zone. Teachers can choose a block of time that falls within their listed time frame. Typically, blocks are four hours per day (20 hours per week), but teachers can do more or fewer. BLOCK SCHEDULE Below are our shift availabilities.* You can start and end your block shift at any point between the listed times. Most of our teachers choose a four hour block schedule. Evening Shifts: Usually begin late afternoon or early evening and extend into the night. Late Night shifts: Often run through the night into the early morning. Days of the week: May adjust from Sunday-Thursday, Sunday to Wednesday. • Note: the block shift moves forward one hour when returning to Daylight Savings Time in Spring 2026.
