Learn more about the practice here: https://www.hcvt.com/services-federal-qualified-opportunity-zone As a Tax Principal – Opportunity Zone Specialization, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Provide top-level review of federal and multi-state income tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals and related workpapers as it pertains to the federal Opportunity Zone programPerform technical research and write correspondencesLead and trains teams of staff, seniors and managersOversee planning and scheduling of engagementsCreate engagement budgets and in charge of billingsEnsure quality of work productMonitor work-flowCoordinate constant flow of internal and external communicationMaintain and develop business with existing and prospective clientsWork closely with clients to advise on income tax issues and related tax planning To be successful, these are the skills and experience you will need: Minimum of 10 years of technical tax experienceDemonstrated knowledge of the federal Opportunity Zone programProficient in the taxation of partnerships, limited liability companies and other similar flow-through entitiesLicensed CPA or JDCapable of running multiple mid-size to large client engagementsStrong organizational and management skillsExcellent written, oral communication and documentation skillsAbility to articulate complex tax matters in “business” languageStrong team player with emphasis on the continued growth and development of team membersExcellent analytical skills and judgment You Matter - HCVT provides a variety of benefits and perks that help sustain a healthy and thriving work environment.
