Tax Preparer Needed for Schedule C and S-Corporation Tax Returns
If you are an experienced tax preparer with immense experience in Schedule C and S-Corporation tax returns, read below.
We are looking for someone who can be a reliable, long-term contractor who has room for at least 15 hours worth of work from us per week (ideally more). The role would be to prepare assigned Schedule C and S-corp tax returns on an ongoing basis.
(We would also consider bringing you on as a W-2 employee, but this is not required. If it's something you're interested in, you can let me know.)
Our company is a back tax help company, so we focus primarily on preparing prior year Schedule C and S-corp tax returns for our clients.
This is great for you if you run your own tax preparation business, but want a steady stream of returns to prepare as well.
Please apply ONLY IF you have...:
- At least 3 years of experience preparing Schedule C and S-Corp returns. This is NOT a regular 1040 prep position, if you do not have this experience, please do not apply.
- The ability to work through tax returns even with incomplete information. Because of the kind of clients we deal with, no one is going to show up with a fully-completed set of financials from QuickBooks. You are going to have to use your intuition (as well as our training) to figure out the needed information from the documents provided, all of which will be less-than-perfect. If you enjoy the puzzle side of tax prep, you will enjoy this position. If you're looking for a position where all you have to do is to mindlessly type the numbers into the tax prep software, this position is not for you.
- The ability to work consistently and at a high-quality without having to be micromanaged. Said simply: no flakes please. If you aren't able to provide consistent work and time availability, please do not apply.
