Tax Planner (Raleigh, NC or Remote)

Tax Planner/Enrolled Agent/CPA | Raleigh, NC (Open to Remote) Seeking dynamic/enterprising IRS Enrolled Agent passionate about making a difference in clients' lives. Ideal candidate will have robust understanding of tax planning/preparation, business formation, and outsourced services. Responsibilities: Prepare approximately 150 tax returns in the coming year Conduct detailed assessments of client situation; collaborate with clients to identify/select clear and achievable objectives Develop/implement comprehensive tax-efficient strategies; offer advice/tailored recommendations on tax planning/small business planning with keen focus on tax implications Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of tax law changes Clearly communicate planning recommendations, ensuring clients are fully informed Offer monitoring, support, and annual reviews to adapt plans as needed Qualifications: IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA Proven experience in tax consulting/planning/preparation Excellent analytical/organizational/communication skills Entrepreneurial mindset a critical requirement The expected compensation for this position includes a base salary between $100,000-150,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and other factors. The firm would ideally like to structure the package with lower base salary and a more aggressive incentive piece, but they are open to a conversation to determine what works best for all parties involved.
