The Tax Associate will be responsible for becoming familiar with current tax theories and laws, preparing tax returns, identifying tax issues, and managing client workflows. Responsibilities Work on a variety of client deliverables including preparation of tax returns, including Individuals, Partnerships and Corporate tax returns Identify potential tax issues and prepare tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances based on audited or client provided trial balances Research filing requirements and tax issues using internal revenue code, treasury regulations, and other relevant authorities/guidance Manage daily client workflow and multiple client projects at any given time Draft tax technical memorandums Skills Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting Plan to complete 150 credit hours by September 2027 in order to be CPA licensed Minimum GPA of 3.2 in both your major and overall Exhibit excellent communication skills and demonstrate sharp critical thinking Comfortable navigating fast-paced environments and embracing change Must have advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and eager to learn new technologies Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident Leadership positions in extracurricular activities are preferred Prior work or internship experience (experience in accounting is a plus) Benefits Discretionary performance bonus Generous paid time off Expanded, inclusive parental benefits Access to best-in-class learning and development platforms Company Overview CohnReznick LLP provides clients with forward thinking advice that helps them navigate complex business and financial issues.
