Tandem/HP NonStop SQL Developer w/ TMF - Resource 1

Resource 1 is seeking a Tandem/HP NonStop SQL Developer for a remote direct hire/full-time opportunity. This role is heavily focused on TMF (Transaction Management Facility) implementation, SQL (MP & MX), and TACL scripting within an HPE NonStop environment. Unlike general COBOL programming roles, this position is centered on data replication, auditing, and streaming change data into Azure cloud environments.Key Responsibilities:Implement and configure TMF across programs and SQL tables.Convert files and tables from unaudited to audited to enable change data capture.Work with MX/MP SQL to create MX versions of MP tables.Develop TACL scripts to automate audit log transformations and operational tasks.Set up data transformers to capture TMF audit logs and output JSON for downstream streaming.Support data replication to Confluent/Kafka for cloud ingestion (Azure).Collaborate with data engineering/analytics teams to ensure audit logs are leveraged for near real-time replication and analytics.Perform one-off file/table updates related to disk auditing and NonStop storage.Required Qualifications:Hands-on experience with TMF: writing BEGIN/END TRANSACTION statements, identifying transaction boundaries, and ensuring correct grouping of table updates.Solid understanding of NonStop SQL (MP & MX), including creating MX tables from MP versions.Strong TACL scripting skills for automation.A problem solver comfortable with unique NonStop challenges and data replication workflows.Someone eager to focus on TMF/SQL/TACL now, with flexibility to support broader NonStop or Fabric/cloud work later.Nice-to-Have Skills:Familiarity with Escort/AutoTMF or similar tools for auditing and transaction wrapping.Exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure Databricks or Confluent.Knowledge of COBOL, C, or other NonStop-supported languages.Ability to think architecturally about data design and replication strategies.Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance, 2 weeks of PTO per year, 24 hours of sick time per year, 401(k) with 4% matchEmployers have access to artificial intelligence language tools (“AI”) that help generate and enhance job descriptions and AI may have been used to create this description.
