Tableau Application Developer (Tableau Cloud – Self-Service Reporting Mart)

Remote Full-time
Job Summary
We are seeking a Tableau Application Developer to design, build, and support scalable reporting solutions within Tableau Cloud, focused on enabling a self-service reporting mart. This role will partner closely with data engineering and business stakeholders to deliver intuitive, high-performance dashboards and semantic layers that empower end users to explore and analyze data independently. This is a 12 week assignment to start with that may lead to a much longer engagement depending on the work ethic and deliverables of the applicant.

The developer will be responsible for developing and optimizing Tableau dashboards, data sources, and extracts aligned to a governed reporting mart. This includes connecting to curated data models (e.g., star schemas), designing reusable datasets, and ensuring performance tuning, data accuracy, and consistency across reports. The role requires strong experience with Tableau Cloud capabilities, including data governance, security, and content publishing best practices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable visual analytics, ensuring alignment with enterprise data standards and definitions. Responsibilities include managing deployments, maintaining documentation, and supporting users with training and adoption of self-service reporting capabilities. Experience working with modern cloud data platforms and ELT pipelines is highly preferred.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise in Tableau (Desktop and Cloud), strong SQL skills, and experience working with enterprise data warehouses such as Snowflake. Familiarity with semantic layer design, data modeling, and performance optimization is critical, along with the ability to drive best practices in data visualization, governance, and user enablement.
