Systems Engineer (Spectrum Subject Matter Expert)

TapHere is looking for a systems engineer with experience in Spectrum Management operations, sustainment and enhancement to help innovate how our customer delivers value to their mission. This effort is leading the charge to provide day-to-day spectrum management support for Spectrum XXI (SXXI). SXXI is a mission essential National Security System (NSS) used by the Department of Defense (DOD), National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), other U.S. Federal Agencies, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and foreign allies for strategic and tactical operations. The system provides a suite of tools and workflow automation to process frequency requests and manage use of the electromagnetic spectrum (i.e., radio frequencies). Experience Required: • 20 years’ experience in tactical and global strategic communications support, planning and operations within DoD and local/state/federal agencies • Spectrum planning and management (SHF, KU, KA, HF, WBHF, and FM) • Spectrum Space Situational Awareness • Spectrum and Communications Policy Development (USA, USAF, CJCSI and DoD) • Electromagnetic Interference identification/resolution Additional experience in any of the following skills is preferable: • Practical experience managing spectrum for US military in compliance with guidelines for equipment/weapon systems • Field experience managing communication plans • Hands-on experience using Spectrum XXI • Knowledge of similar service level tools • Joint Integrated Satellite Communications Technology (JIST) • SDR spectrum management tool • Experience reviewing, coordinating, submitting and approving spectrum nominations • Expert on Pub 7 Spectrum Frequency Assignment Format Apply tot his job
