Systems Engineer - Robert Half

DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in West Chester, Pennsylvania. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure across Azure and on-premise environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to operational excellence.Responsibilities:Develop and implement secure and scalable infrastructure solutions for both Azure and on-premise environments.Manage and deploy infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring modularity and security.Monitor system performance and proactively address issues to ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute infrastructure changes effectively.Research and apply industry best practices to enhance infrastructure reliability and security.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to networking, storage, and virtualization.Maintain accurate documentation and share knowledge with team members to improve processes.Uphold high standards of integrity by seeking guidance when faced with uncertain tasks or risks.Ensure compliance with security protocols and operational best practices. RequirementsMinimum of 5 years' experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administration.Proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure as code methodologies.Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services and architecture.Solid understanding of on-premise infrastructure including networking, virtualization, and storage.Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate or collaborate with others.Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.Demonstrated knowledge of operational excellence and security best practices.Preferred qualifications include experience with CI/CD pipelines, configuration management tools, and certifications such as Azure Administrator or Terraform Associate.
