Leidos Health and Services Sector currently has an opening for a Systems Administrator Lead to work remotely . This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Military OneSource mission. The Military OneSource Program provides 24/7 support services for military members and their families, similar to a commercial Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This program provides a broad array of information, resources, education, referrals, and counseling to about 4.7 million participants which includes military service members, their families, and eligible civilians at locations worldwide. The Military OneSource program serves as a “one source” for resource and information encompassing a comprehensive support system. The Systems Administrator Lead is responsible for managing the functionality and efficiency of one or more operating systems and associated applications. ROLE Establishes administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, validates and implements critical patches, and allocates mass storage resources. Customizes and configures system modules, workflows, forms, fields, business rules, UI policies, and related components to align with organizational processes and requirements. Manages user roles, permissions, and access controls to ensure appropriate levels of system and data access. Designs and implements workflows to automate processes, approvals, notifications, and task assignments using the Salesforce workflow engine. Integrates systems and applications through APIs, web services, and integration tools to ensure data consistency and efficient information exchange. Develops and manages custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide insights into service performance, trends, and improvement opportunities. Manages platform data, including imports, exports, cleanup, and transformation activities, to maintain data integrity and accuracy. Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues and incidents to minimize operational disruptions. Implements configuration changes through controlled change management processes to ensure platform stability and mitigate risk. Supports end users by providing guidance on system functionality and assisting with technical issues. Plans and manages platform upgrades, patches, and enhancements to ensure system instances remain current and aligned with evolving features. Implements security measures, data protection protocols, and compliance standards to safeguard system platforms and maintain regulatory compliance. Performs remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and targeted inquiries, determines appropriate solutions based on reported issues, and guides users through the resolution process. Reviews and updates tickets, close resolved issues, and perform routine system checks, maintenance, and updates across organizational platforms. Responsible for supporting disaster recovery solutions (i.e., RTO). Job Responsibilities Configure, manage, and maintain enterprise system platforms including Salesforce, Amazon Connect, and associated operating systems and applications. Establish and manage administrator and service accounts, user roles, permissions, and access controls to ensure appropriate system and data security. Install, validate, and maintain system-wide software, patches, upgrades, and enhancements to ensure optimal performance and compliance. Customize and configure system modules, workflows, forms, fields, business rules, UI policies, and automation processes using platform workflow engines. Integrate systems and applications through APIs, web services, and integration tools to ensure data consistency and efficient information exchange. Develop and manage reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide insights into system performance, utilization trends, and operational improvements. Manage platform data activities including imports, exports, transformations, and data cleanup to maintain integrity and accuracy. Monitor system health and performance, conduct system audits, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure stability and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve Level 2 and Level 3 technical issues, minimizing operational disruptions and guiding users through issue resolution. Coordinate with development teams to gather functional requirements and support system enhancements and releases. Plan and oversee system upgrades and environment changes through established configuration and change management processes. Support disaster recovery planning and recovery time objectives (RTO), including backup and restoration activities. Provide technical guidance and work direction to less experienced staff as needed. Serve as a technical point of contact for users requiring system assistance via phone, email, or chat-based platforms. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and updates. Perform additional duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline with four to six years of operating systems and systems administration experience. In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, system design, implementation, and remote management. Strong technical expertise in server and platform administration. Experience configuring and supporting enterprise applications and integrated platforms. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Strong understanding of system security controls, access management, and compliance requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and vendors. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality. Demonstrated ability to work independently and determine appropriate methods and procedures for new assignments. U.S. citizenship and fluency in English required. Ability to successfully pass criminal history, fingerprint background checks, and credential verification required. Ability to maintain and retain suitability investigation and clearance as required. Proficient in navigating electronic systems, computer programs, and virtual service platforms. This position requires a separate, quiet, private, confidential space to work from, as well as having access to your own reliable high-speed internet hard wired to your home (coax or fiber from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) to your home.) Using a hot spot from a mobile device (tethering) or wireless ISP is not acceptable. Preferred Qualifications AWS Certified Sysops Administrator or certification strongly preferred. Pay Range $92,300 - $143,775 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
