The System Administrator I will be responsible for managing their time appropriately while monitoring multiple assignment queues, their personal queue of open tickets, and providing continuous follow up to ensure timely incident resolution and customer satisfaction. Optimal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced technical environment with a proven track record of having excelled in exceeding performance metrics and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
• Respond to the Operations telephone line, online incident system, online chat and other communications methods that may be implemented.
• Analyze customer environments for possible opportunities to improve performance and/or solve issues before and/or after client requests.
• Internal/External projects assigned by management.
• Perform active monitoring of system and capacity monitoring systems. This position must be responsible to acknowledge, react, and remedy any alerts in the monitoring system. You will attempt to troubleshoot any service interruptions so that a full report can be made to the client. After Action reports (AARs), both internal and external are required for all production outages.
• Monitor service requests as they are submitted to ensure timely responses. Ensure that all SLA commitments are met.
• Provide administration and maintenance of production servers running RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux and Windows Server.
• Backup, administer, and troubleshoot PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB and MSSQL Server.
• Support a variety of software solutions including, IIS, Exchange, MSSQL Server, SharePoint, Active Directory, Apache, PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Varnish to name a few.
• Responsible for ensuring proper documentation on all service requests including, but not limited to, completed tasks, testing procedures followed, recommended follow up or next actions needed.
• Interacting with multiple departments daily.
• Following strict operational procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:
• A minimum 1 year of experience maintaining both systems and hardware in Linux (LAMP)/Windows Server environments is required.
• Knowledge of some combination of Drupal, WordPress, Magento, Node.js, OpenStack, Atlassian Products, MySQL, Windows Server, MSSQL Server is required.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and supporting a broad range of customers.
• Open-Source Software configuration and administration.
• Security, Networking, or DevOps development backgrounds.
• A strong sense of responsibility and initiative along with the desire to learn and improve.
• Prioritize and organize task carefully and accurately.
• Accept constructive criticism from peers.
• Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work independently and as part of a team based on shift or project.
• Dedication and commitment to delighting our customers.
• Communicate well with all levels of management and company personnel.
• Handle multiple tasks and assignments with potentially varying priorities.
• The ability to multitask, set priorities, exercise independent judgment, and work with minimal supervision.

Key Position Details:
• Second Shift (2nd): Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM ET
• Participation in the on-call rotation is required.

The responsibilities of this position require that you have access to sensitive information about Valiantys Federal and Customer systems and information, including Federal proprietary information, protected health information, personally identifiable information, and security relevant information. You will be required to safeguard any information you are exposed to and comply with any special handling requirements and reporting procedures.

The salary range is between $68,000 - $72,000 (Salary to be determined by candidate’s education, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
