Job Summary
A System Support technician is responsible for all aspects of support and technical assistance by addressing a wide variety of user issues including software problems, hardware failures and network issues.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Respond to end users quickly and accurately while delivering quality customer service by providing a single point of contact for reporting technical incidents or making inquiries.
• Identify end user incidents then apply the proper troubleshooting so that the incident can be resolved on initial contact or escalate non-resolvable incidents accordingly.
• Provide technical support in the resolution of customer incidents and inquires, in a pleasant, professional, and timely manner, which is beneficial to customers.
• Record all activities relating to customer calls and attempts to resolve incidents or satisfy requests using available support tools and technologies, and for tracking incidents through resolution.
• Coordinate repair efforts with hardware vendors when applicable.
• Verify end users through proper channels to eliminate risk to the corporation.
• Navigate several applications simultaneously.
• Connect remotely to further gather information and resolve issues.
• Regularly follow up on aging tickets assigned.
• Flexibility in work schedule required to provide coverage, when needed.
Qualifications
• Associate degree in a technical discipline or 2-4 years of technical equivalent work experience
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Demonstrate a practical and data-driven approach to problem-solving
• Self-motivated demonstrating superior technical ability
• Working knowledge of MS Office and Office 365, Active Directory, Remote Connection software such as Bomgar and Cisco VPN
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities that are time-sensitive

Pay Range
$18.00 - 24.00 per hour

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
In this role, the employee is continuously sitting and typing, frequently talking and using eye and hand coordination and may also be required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
