Sustainability Designer I

This role involves curating high-performance project solutions aimed at decarbonizing the built environment and assisting in the development of environmental design guides and strategies.ResponsibilitiesCurates high-performance project solutions to help decarbonize the built environment for WATG’s master planning, architecture, interior design, and landscape teamsSimulates life cycle assessments to forecast carbon debt and establishes reduction measuresOversees efforts to track and collect project performance vitals for reporting to the AIA’s and RIBA’s 2030 Reporting platformLeads efforts to develop in-house environmental design guides and workflow guidesAssists the Director of Sustainability on large projects and global initiatives, such as the firm’s climate action planSkillsMaster's degree in Architecture, Building Science, or an equivalent fieldAbility to gather, analyze, iterate, and interpret information to advance high-performance architecture and sustainable master planning solutionsProficiency in ClimateStudio, Forma, Insight, IES iCD, or similar environmental assessment softwareProficiency in life cycle tools such as OneClick LCA and EC3Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Rhino, Revit, and AutoCADStrong written and verbal communication skillsProblem-solving mindset and ability to work in a team environmentAbility to meet deadlines consistently and effectivelyAbility to manage multiple project prioritiesProfessional license or certificates such as LEED, WELL, or similarExperience with LEED, WELL, or SITE certificationsFamiliarity with decarbonization strategiesFamiliarity with scope emissions inventoryFamiliarity with AIA's DDx Reporting (2030 Challenge)Intermediate to advanced Grasshopper or Dynamo scripting is desiredStrong graphics composition skills and familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to compose illustrations for client presentationsCompany OverviewAdvisory | Master Planning | Architecture | Landscape Architecture | Wimberly Interiors.
