Sustainability Consultant- Energy Modeler

Expertise/Responsibilities: • Energy modeling and overseeing and reviewing energy models • Working with clients to achieve their high-performance design and sustainable project goals. • Assisting owner/developer, design team and construction team members to set energy goals and expectations • Analyzes, review, and/or consult on project documentation of building and energy-related components including envelope, HVAC, lighting, hot water and other powered systems found in architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings and specifications • Review project submittals for compliance with energy modeling requirements and practices pursued • Develop and review energy model documentation and gather supporting information • Life Cycle Cost Analysis • Maintaining project records, developing meeting agendas and project goals Strengths: • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, building science, engineering or related field preferred • Building Energy Modeling certification preferred • Experience with green building program requirements as it relates to energy modeling, codes, standards and rating systems including but not limited to IECC, IgCC, ASHRAE, State Energy Codes is a plus! • Knowledge of Energy Modeling Software is a plus! (Ekotrope, eQuest, EnergyPro, EnergyGauge, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, IES) • Knowledge of ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager is a plus! • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software • Effectively communicate with using both verbal and written communication and lead green building meeting with clients. Discretionary bonuses may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
