Position Overview As a Surgical Technology Instructor at Concorde Career Colleges, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction to students in the surgical technology program, both in the classroom and online. You will be expected to create a positive and engaging learning environment, develop and implement effective lesson plans, and assess student performance. You will also be required to maintain accurate records, participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities, and contribute to the overall success of the program. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans and course materials for surgical technology classes Instruct classes as assigned, including classroom, lab, clinical, and online settings Assess student performance and provide regular and constructive feedback Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities Contribute to the development and implementation of program policies and procedures Collaborate with colleagues to achieve program goals and objectives Provide guidance and support to students, both in and out of the classroom Stay current with industry developments and advancements in surgical technology Essential Qualifications Credentialed in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA) Minimum of four years of clinical experience in surgical technology, with at least two years in the operating room scrub role within the last five years Associate degree in surgical technology or related field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time management skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in surgical technology or related field Experience in teaching or instructing Familiarity with learning management systems Experience with curriculum development and implementation Skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of surgical technology principles and practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Concorde Career Colleges, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
