Anesthesia areas. This position also supports departmental projects within the Department of Surgery Scheduling. Function Responsible for coordinating Operating Room and Non-Operating Room Anesthesia cases to ensure efficient scheduling and support of surgical operations across multiple units. Scope This role operates in a fast-paced, high-volume Surgery Scheduling and Non-O.R. Anesthesia Office that requires daily collaboration with departments and clinics throughout the institution. Essential Job Functions • Prepare the daily surgery schedule, coordinating operating rooms with anesthesia, nursing, and physician preferences. • Review schedules with each physician to confirm requirements related to time, facilities, and special needs. • Notify appropriate departments of special requirements and ensure readiness for each procedure. • Publish and distribute the next day’s surgery schedule. • Perform relief duties and other responsibilities as assigned. EDUCATION Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred: Associate's Degree Health related field. WORK EXPERIENCE Required: 3 years Experience in a healthcare environment. Preferred: Experience in surgery scheduling, medical terminology, and data entry OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
