Surfacing Gang & Foreperson - Oxfordshire

Department: Operations and Maintenance Location: Reading (Theale) Cement Depot & Concrete Plant Description Breedon Surfacing Solutions provide a wide range of asphalt surfacing contracting services across the UK, delivering a comprehensive asphalt surfacing solution for the construction and maintenance of public highways; infrastructure; residential and industrial developments and minor works. Our client base ranges from domestic and commercial clients to large contractors, local authorities and government bodies. Role We have a requirement for a gang that will operate in the Oxfordshire area. The gang will comprise of the following roles: 1 Foreperson 2 Screwmen 1 Paver Driver 2 Roller Driver 1 Tractor Driver 1 Banksperson Key Responsibilities Carry out work in accordance with instructions given by the Foreperson Ensure all plant and equipment is properly maintained, safe to use and operated in the manner for which it was designed Maintain all PPE to a high standard to ensure it is in a good serviceable condition Support less experienced operatives Maintain professional working practices Ensure compliance with company rules, procedures and safety commitments Report all accidents, incidents, near miss events, issues and concerns Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the quality requirements of the specification Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Previous Surfacing Experience CSCS card and driving license are essential for all roles Paver, Roller and Tractor Drivers will be required to hold MPQC/CPCS tickets for the relevant plant Job Benefits 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Contributory Pension Scheme Free on-site Parking Volunteer Scheme Share Save Scheme Life Assurance Enhanced Maternity, Adoption & Paternity Scheme Health & Wellbeing Initiatives Discount Scheme
