Job Summary And Qualifications
The Supervisor Ultrasound Technologist is a skilled person qualified by academic and clinical training to provide patient services using diagnostic ultrasound under the supervision of a physician responsible for the use and interpretation of ultrasound procedures. The Supervisor Ultrasound Technologist may be involved with the patients of the physicians in any medical setting of which the physician is responsible. The Supervisor Ultrasound Technologist will supervise the day to day operation of the department.
? Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
? Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through ARDMS or Sonographer registry through ARRT is required
? Associate Degree or equivalent in Ultrasound or Certification through an accredited Sonography program required
? Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) through ARDMS or Vascular Sonography (VS) through ARRT is required within 6 months of hire
