Supervisor, Perinatal Risk and Quality - Labor & Delivery
Job Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional Supervisor, Perinatal Risk and Quality to lead our Labor & Delivery team at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn. As a full-service teaching hospital and Level I trauma center, we are committed to providing high-quality patient care and exceptional patient experiences. Key Responsibilities:
Provide 24/7 leadership and accountability for quality nursing care and unit management
Foster an effective work environment for interdisciplinary teamwork, patient satisfaction, and staff satisfaction
Serve as a role model and resource to all staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Demonstrate personal accountability for own professional practice and professional growth
Communicate and collaborate effectively with members of the healthcare team, escalating situations as needed
Establish priorities for patient care delivery, using critical thinking skills to coordinate and complete patient care responsibilities
Provide patient/family education and assist in discharge planning, utilizing resources and considering patient/family readiness, barriers, and alternatives
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree (MS) preferred
3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a related clinical area
Demonstrated leadership ability in a management role, including written and oral communication skills, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
New York State RN license and registration
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
