Summer Graduate Internship

NRDC seeks full-time graduate interns for the Summer to support environmental advocacy through research, policy analysis, and project management. Your Role Key responsibilities include: • Conducting literature reviews on relevant policy topics • Drafting initial outlines or talking points for advocacy campaigns • Researching laws, regulations, and case precedents to support legal opinions • Investigating best practices and case studies on equity-focused policies • Tracking project timelines and deliverables using tools like Asana • Creating reports or dashboards for department heads using Excel or Power BI • Collaborating with lawyers, scientists, and policy analysts across various program areas About You What you'll need: • Current enrollment in a graduate program • Interest in environmental and social justice issues • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Creativity and resourcefulness • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups • Commitment to NRDC’s mission, values, and DEI principles Compensation • 10-week paid internship with a $10,000 stipend paid bi-weekly Training & Development • Mentorship and network-building opportunities • Professional development and skill-building events • Exposure to diverse environmental advocacy work Career Progression • Opportunities for future career development within NRDC • Separate internships available for 1L and 2L legal candidates in Litigation department How to Apply • Submit a resume and cover letter via the online application link on NRDC’s Careers Page • Cover letter should specify interest in NRDC, preferred summer sessions, and desired department(s) • Include any additional materials showcasing your abilities • Only candidates selected for interviews will be contacted This job may close before the stated closing date, you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible Report this job Apply tot his job
