Position Overview
arenaflex is seeking motivated and enthusiastic IT students to join our Enterprise Technology team for a summer internship program. This is a unique opportunity to become part of our journey to make technology a competitive advantage for the organization. As an intern, you will support various IT projects in business analysis, software development, systems engineering, or data analytics roles.

You will have the chance to work on real-world projects that directly impact our operations and customer experience. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in enterprise technology environments, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge to practical challenges while developing professional skills that will jumpstart your career.

What You'll Do
As a member of our IT team, you will assist with meaningful projects that contribute to our technology transformation initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:


Software Development: Participate in the development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of software applications and infrastructure environments using various programming languages and frameworks
Business Analysis: Gather requirements for system improvements and contribute to the design and testing of decision support systems
Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to create performance dashboards and service level agreements that drive business decisions
Technical Support: Provide technical assistance for IT projects and initiatives across the enterprise
Collaboration: Work alongside integrated product teams with Quality Engineering (QE) and Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) capabilities
Innovation: Contribute fresh ideas and approaches to solve complex technology challenges
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions
Testing: Participate in quality assurance activities including test planning, execution, and defect tracking


Technologies You May Work With
Interns in developer roles will have the opportunity to work with a diverse technology stack including:

Java/JEE and Python programming languages
Spring Framework and Angular
JSON, XML, and RESTful API development
JavaScript and HTML web technologies
C++ on Linux environments
Oracle databases and data management systems
Cloud computing platforms
Mobile application development technologies
Big Data and Artificial Intelligence tools
Agile/DevOps delivery methodologies


Location and Work Environment
This position is based in Atlanta, GA or Minneapolis St. Paul, MN. Most teams operate on a hybrid work schedule with some days in-office and some remote work, subject to management approval. This arrangement provides valuable in-person collaboration while offering flexibility. The work environment is professional yet casual, allowing you to focus on innovation and problem-solving.

Qualifications We're Seeking

Minimum Requirements

Currently enrolled in a college or university program with at least 3 years completed
A minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher
Degree emphasis in Computer Science, Software Development, Systems/Industrial/Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analysis, Operations Research, Business Management, or a related field
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
Strong analytical, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and perspectives
Interest in solving complex problems and investing effort to overcome challenges
Awareness of cloud technology, Software Development Lifecycles, and computer hardware components
Ability to conduct yourself professionally in a business casual work environment
Commitment to maintaining safety and security of self, others, and personal data
Interest in pursuing a full-time career with arenaflex after graduation, should a permanent opportunity be offered


Preferred Qualifications

Ability to process large amounts of data and information, translating insights into actionable recommendations for decision-making
Passion for learning leadership practices and best practices in problem-solving and conflict resolution
Enthusiasm for working with technologies such as Cloud Computing, Mobile Applications, Enterprise Web Applications, APIs, Messaging, Databases, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence
Previous internship or project experience in technology or related fields
Understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps practices
