Substation Protection & Control Designer
b19 Consulting is working with an established power company to find a Substation P&C Designer that comes from an electric utility background
Preferred Qualifications:
Ā 6+ years utility substation P&C design experience (15kV through to 500kV)
Ā Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for sponsorship.
Ā Strong communication skills to coordinate with project engineers, designers and client representatives.
Ā Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel & Word.
Ā QA/QC of schematic designs and coping of new projects
Ā AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bentley Descartes or Raster Design experience
Ā Proficiency with SEL or GE relays
Ā Detailed design of new substation layouts using electrical schematics, bill of materials and equipment specifications.
Ā Substation lightning stroke shielding plan and grounding plan experience
Ā Knowledge relay protection & control engineering
Ā Ability to lead a large portion or the entirety of a substation design project.
