Learn more at solunaapp.com/impact.What We’re Looking For: The Practitioner will help individuals develop achievable and measurable goals to monitor success and motivate behavioral change. Provide on-platform behavioral health care and wellness coaching support to children and youth accessing Kooth services. How You’ll Make an Impact: Main responsibilities: Provide on-platform virtual behavioral health care to adolescents and young adultsProviding structured Wellness Coaching:Deliver prevention, wellness promotion and psychoeducation through structured coaching sessionsAssist with warm handoffs to Care Coordinators & support case management Offer Behavioral Health/ Wellness Coaching interventionsDevelop individualized care plans to effectively goal set and action plan for positive behavioral changeConduct risk assessment and mitigation Address determinants of positive mental healthSupport users in identifying problem areas, obstacles, and actionable steps towards wellness goalsProviding Single Session Wellness Coaching:Deliver drop-in and single-chat wellness coachingProvide warm handoffs to Care Coordination Team and support with case management Facilitate goal-setting based on immediate individual needsConduct risk assessment and mitigationDeliver brief prevention, wellness promotion, and psychoeducation Offer brief Behavioral Health/Wellness Coaching interventionsScreening and Assessment:Conduct mental health & wellness screenings and progress monitoring Identify users experiencing or at risk of social, emotional, or behavioral difficulties Perform risk assessment and mitigation Support users experiencing crisis and facilitate referrals as neededModeration of submitted content:Moderate journals, goals, and user-submitted content in line with policy and compliance standards Conduct risk assessment through written contentEncourage safe engagement relevant to presenting issuesAdhere to all safeguarding, data protection, legal, and internal policy requirementsWarm handoffs:Communicate with users and external providers as appropriate to ensure seamless care transitions Supervision, Training, and Meetings:Attend and actively participate in clinical supervisionComplete all mandatory in-house training and professional development Attend team and performance management meetingsAdministration:Maintain accurate and timely records according to Kooth policiesSupport operational processes to ensure consistent service deliveryLiaise with other professionals as needed around safeguarding and care concernsMaintain certification or licensure (as applicable) RequirementsWhat You’ll Bring: Requirements/Certification Pathways:Holds a current, valid SUD Counselor certification in the state of CaliforniaCA state certification: Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor (SUDCC)CA state certification: Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor (CATC)CA state certification: Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC Levels I-III)CA state certification: Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LAADC)National certification: National Certified Addiction Counselor, Levels I and II (NACA)Master Addictions Counselor (MAC)Minimum education: GED/High School diplomaDemonstrated experience supporting individuals with substance use–related behavioral changePermanently reside within the 48 contiguous United StatesPreferred: crisis support experienceavailable to work the following schedule: Wed-Sat, 3:30pm-10pm PT (24 hours per week)?BenefitsWhat You’ll Get:Compensation: This role offers an hourly rate of $25 to $31, based on experience. We’re committed to transparency and value our candidates time, which is why we share salary ranges in all states—regardless of local requirements.
