Job Overview: As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Training & Exercises, you will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of training programs and exercises to our internal teams and external clients. Your expertise will help us ensure that our training initiatives are current, effective, and aligned with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Subject Matter Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices. Provide expert insights and guidance on training and exercise development.
• Content Development: Create, review, and update training materials, manuals, and exercises to ensure they are accurate, relevant, and engaging.
• Training Delivery: Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and exercises, either in-person or virtually, ensuring that participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Develop assessment methods to measure the effectiveness of training programs. Analyze results and make recommendations for improvements.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, trainers, and project managers, to ensure seamless program development and delivery.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging technologies and methodologies in training and exercise development. Suggest and implement improvements to enhance the learning experience.
• Client Interaction: Interact with clients to understand their specific training needs, customize programs accordingly, and provide expert guidance and support.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant feedback, and evaluation results.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience required.
• 15+ years of experience in Training & Exercises development and execution.
• Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs and exercises.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
• This is a part-time position, with flexible hours.
• Some travel may be required for client meetings or training sessions.
• Work may be conducted remotely or on-site, as needed.
