Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Canvas and web browsers as evidenced by application materials.
Excellent communication skills and strong command of the English language, including correct spelling, grammar and punctuation as evidenced by application materials.

Customer/student service experience.
Must be able to work in 2-3 hour time blocks.
Must be able to work occasional evenings during finals week.

Position OverviewThe KU Center for Online and Distance Learning serves faculty and staff who develop and deliver online and hybrid courses. Our focus is to facilitate KU's strategic goals for expanding online learning by providing pedagogy and technology expertise in support of teaching and learning.The Student Assistant plays a key role in supporting the delivery of accessible online learning experiences. This position is primarily responsible for transcribing, editing, and captioning audio and video content for online courses. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students.
