Position Summary The Structural Engineer will join Campbell Soup’s engineering team in a fully remote capacity, providing expert design, analysis, and support for structural projects across our manufacturing and distribution facilities. This role demands a blend of technical proficiency, problem‑solving acumen, and strong communication skills to ensure that all structural solutions meet safety, performance, and cost‑effectiveness criteria. Key Responsibilities Develop and review structural designs using industry‑standard CAD software, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and Campbell Soup standards. Perform detailed calculations, load analyses, and finite‑element modeling to validate design integrity. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including mechanical, civil, and facilities engineers—to integrate structural solutions into overall project plans. Prepare and present technical reports, design documentation, and construction drawings to internal stakeholders and external partners. Conduct site inspections and provide engineering support during construction, addressing any design modifications or issues that arise. Identify opportunities for design optimization, cost reduction, and sustainability improvements. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices in structural engineering. Required Qualifications 3 to 8 years of professional experience in structural engineering, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments. Proficiency in engineering design CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) and familiarity with analysis tools such as SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro. Demonstrated problem‑solving abilities with a track record of delivering effective engineering solutions. Strong technical knowledge of structural principles, material properties, and relevant building codes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to diverse audiences. Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with virtual teams. Required Education Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Desired Skills Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or progress toward licensure. Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows. Knowledge of sustainability standards such as LEED or ISO 14001. Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project). Exposure to food‑processing facility design and regulatory requirements.
