Starbucks is on an exciting journey to harness the power of Generative AI to better serve our partners and customers. We're looking for a innovative and future-focused partner to join our Store Operations Innovation and Architecture team as a Strategy Manager. In this pivotal role, you'll set the strategy for how Starbucks leverages utilizes Generative AI to support our store partners. You will use your expertise to set the short- and long-term roadmaps for this critical unlock.
As a strategy manager, you will…
• Leverage internal and external research to build a portfolio of use cases for utilizing GenAI to solve store partners’ problems.
• Use your storytelling skills to help the organization envision the future and build momentum for the work.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams like Technology to ensure we’re building quickly scalable solutions
Leadership:
• Set Goals and Develop Teams: Define key responsibilities, promote confidence, and model teamwork. Support company programs for overall success.
Planning and Execution:
• Strategic Planning: Develop and manage business unit processes aligned with company goals.
• Communication: Educate your team on policy and practice changes.
Business Requirements:
• Presentations: Create structured presentations highlighting business issues, insights, and recommendations for executive leadership.
• Knowledge Sharing: Share insights across teams and build relationships with executive sponsors.
• Project Management: Lead strategic problem-solving, develop hypotheses, and guide detailed analyses. Manage project timelines and deliverables.
Partner Development & Team Building:
• Inspire and Challenge: Motivate partners to achieve business results and complete performance reviews.
• Compliance: Ensure partners comply with legal and operational standards.
• Training and Development: Oversee partner training, make staffing decisions, and provide coaching and support to achieve results.

• If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
