RoleThe Categories and Expansion team at Whatnot is responsible for the expansion of our category suite and the continued growth of sellers and buyers on the platform. This role sits on our Revenue Operations team, which supports our Sales and Post Sales Teams in growing our seller base and partnerships.Work closely with the data team on reporting and analyzing performance data and recommend course corrections as neededTake on key strategic and operational special projects that move the business forward and help us scaleWork with the post sales GTM team to build and develop playbooks and documentationSupport GTM leaders in identifying and presenting data and insightsSupport category team with analysis and success measurement of initiativesWork closely with the GTM launch, category, and central ops functions to ensure smooth operation and clear division of responsibilityUnderstand the competitive landscape and develop strategies to grow Whatnot’s market positionAnalyze and understand the live selling and broader market to stay on top trends and inform our GTM strategyPartner with the ops and product teams to ensure broad cross functional alignment and make sure our GTM efforts are set-up for successWe offer flexibility to work from home or from one of our global office hubs, and we value in-person time for planning, problem-solving, and connection. Team members in this role are required to be within commuting distance of our Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York City hubs. They care more about outcomes than credit and stay close to the product and the people using it.As our next [role / title] you should have (e.g. 4+ years of generalist software development experience in high growth startups), plus:Past experience in consulting of finance and/or past experience in strategy, business operations or analytics at a high growth start-upStrong strategic sense with the ability to balance data driven insights and business instinctsExceptionally analytical with the ability to develop high level insights while not being afraid to get down and dirty with the dataExcellent executive communication skills.
