What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
As the Strategic Portfolio Management Lead, you will be responsible for leading the project management of high-value strategic initiatives across our Reservations and Customer Care division. This is a dynamic role that requires the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and driving results.
Project Leadership & Execution
Lead the end-to-end project management of high-impact initiatives, from project inception and planning through execution and closure
Create and maintain comprehensive project artifacts including project charters, project plans, risk and issue logs, and parking lots
Manage multiple simultaneous projects of varying priority and complexity across different teams and stakeholder groups
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining quality standards
Develop and implement project governance frameworks and best practices
Strategic Portfolio Management
Support the development of business cases, prioritization frameworks, and overall divisional portfolio management
Assist in driving the strategic direction of portfolio management practices across the division
Help establish metrics and KPIs to measure project success and portfolio performance
Contribute to the development of a Center of Excellence for strategic portfolio management
Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on portfolio health and optimization opportunities
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive ideation, planning, and execution of strategic initiatives
Build and maintain effective relationships and feedback loops between leaders, functional partners, and cross-divisional teams
Facilitate communication and collaboration across organizational boundaries
Partner with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure project outcomes align with business objectives
Communication & Change Management
Develop communication strategies and implement processes, activities, and projects that result in optimal dissemination of information
Ensure communication consistency and increase awareness of project expectations, change management, and impact
Create compelling executive presentations and concise documents for senior leadership
Drive change management initiatives and support organizational adoption of new processes and systems
Lead and facilitate project meetings, workshops, and steering committees
Team Development & Culture
Help drive the development of the association's culture at the functional level, ensuring strong alignment with stakeholders across the broader organization
Support the continuous improvement of PMO capabilities and practices
Mentor and guide project team members to enhance their skills and capabilities
Share best practices and lessons learned to improve overall project delivery effectiveness
