Position Overview:

Virtas Partners is seeking a seasoned Strategic Finance Director/Senior Director to join our growing team. This role is ideal for finance leaders who enjoy solving complex business problems, working directly with clients to lead high-impact initiatives, and bringing analytical rigor to financial decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience across corporate finance, FP&A, and financial modeling, along with a strong consulting or leadership background in dynamic, growth-stage, or transaction-heavy environments.

Responsibilities & Duties:
• Serve as a trusted advisor to CFOs and executive leadership on strategic finance topics.
• Lead or support strategic projects such as:
• Investment fund and cash flow modeling
• Financial data model development using business intelligence tools
• Enhanced financial and management reporting
• Budgeting and forecasting process redesign
• KPI dashboard and operational metric development
• M&A valuation analysis and deal modeling
• Act as interim or fractional finance executive as needed, providing both strategic guidance and operational execution.
• Design and build interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms to support real-time decision-making and performance tracking.
• Evaluate and optimize finance and accounting functions including systems, processes, and team structures.
• Lead finance initiatives related to M&A integration, post-deal performance tracking, and synergy realization.
• Prepare and present financial insights and recommendations to executive teams and boards.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure high-quality client service delivery.
• Mentor and support junior team members through coaching, feedback, and professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, corporate development, or finance transformation; prior consulting experience is highly valued.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high-impact projects involving financial modeling, analytics, and reporting.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; strong experience with BI and financial tools (e.g., Adaptive, NetSuite, Anaplan, Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience navigating dynamic, high-growth, or transaction-heavy environments.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate and influence at senior levels.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving settings.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the United States.
