About The Role The Strategic Advisory Services team assists customers with proactive engagements to enhance security programs, educate employees, and develop tailored cyber initiatives. The Consultant role focuses on task‑oriented activities, reporting, and supporting engagement leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards. Consultants also contribute to thought leadership, methodology development, and other “back‑of‑office” tasks. What You'll Do • Deliver large and complex strategic advisory engagements, engaging with management‑level individuals across various industries. • Assess and develop cybersecurity and incident response programs to mature security postures before incidents occur. • Create cutting‑edge scenarios that help customers exercise their response capabilities. • Produce and deliver high‑quality reports, presentations, recommendations, and findings to customer leadership. • Identify emerging cybersecurity trends using both government and private sector perspectives. • Contribute thought leadership to internal programs and teams. What You'll Need • 2–6 years of experience in IT / Security Management Consulting, Security Program Development, Security Analysis / Operations, Business Strategy / Risk Analysis, Cybersecurity Policy, or Public / Government Affairs. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in fast‑paced environments. • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with diverse customers and teammates. • Capability to complete complex strategic analysis tasks independently. • Desire to grow cyber aptitude, technical awareness, and soft skills. • Strong time‑management skills for multiple simultaneous projects. • Positive work environment attitude. • Travel up to 30% of the time, often on short notice. Education We encourage candidates with relevant training and experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Public Policy, or related fields is preferred. Master’s degrees receive additional consideration. Experience, drive, and results are more important than formal education; military or professional training is also valued.
