Strategic Accounts Manager - Utility Solutions

Overview:
Paige, a GCG company, is currently seeking a Strategic Accounts Manager to lead strategic growth initiatives across the Midwest and Northeast regions! This role is designed for a driven sales professional who combines deep technical aptitude, strong relationship-building skills, and a strategic mindset to expand market share and drive sustainable revenue growth with investor-owned utilities (IOUs), cooperatives, and municipal providers. As our Utilities Strategic Account Manager, you'll drive success with high-value utility customers, playing a critical part in shaping Paige’s utility offerings by ensuring product specifications, standards, and solutions align with evolving industry requirements. This will be accomplished through close collaboration with internal engineering teams, sourcing leadership, and key manufacturing partners. You will also be instrumental in identifying, developing, and promoting value-added solutions within the utility space, translating customer and market insights into actionable opportunities that strengthen Paige’s product portfolio and competitive positioning. While this role offers a remote work arrangement, we are seeking candidates located within the Midwestern United States (Ohio, Indiana, or Pennsylvania) to facilitate in-person meetings with strategic customer accounts in this area. What You'll Do Lead and execute a regional sales strategy tailored to the unique needs of IOUs, cooperatives, and municipal utilities across the Midwest and NortheastDevelop and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within strategic utility accountsOwn and grow a portfolio of high-value, strategically important accounts while identifying and developing new regional opportunitiesPartner closely with internal inside sales teams to support day-to-day execution, including ensuring RFPs, bids, and customer requests are responded to accurately, competitively, and in a timely mannerProvide guidance and market context to inside sales teams to help prioritize opportunities and improve response quality and speed, without direct supervisory responsibilityPartner with internal engineering, sourcing, and manufacturer partners to ensure Paige product specifications align with current and future utility standards and customer requirementsProvide market-driven input on product development, specification updates, and sourcing strategies to support utility growth initiativesIdentify gaps in current utility offerings and help define value-added solutions that differentiate Paige in the marketServe as a regional subject-matter leader by deepening market and product knowledge and sharing insights with internal sales teamsAct as a conduit between the customer and Paige, ensuring customer strategies, challenges, standards, and future-state plans are clearly understood and communicated internallyDrive long-term account planning, including understanding customer business performance, competitive landscape, and upcoming initiativesPartner cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution, exceptional service, and alignment across sales, operations, and supply chainIdentify and cultivate new strategic partnerships that support regional and company-wide growth objectivesMentor and support other sales team members by sharing best practices, market intelligence, and customer insightsServe as a key voice of the customer for the Utilities market, influencing product direction, sourcing decisions, and long-term solution strategy What You'll Bring 5+ years' experience in technical sales specifically focused on the utilities market; previous experience specifically focused on sale of wire and cable product strongly preferredBachelor's degree in business administration or a related field; relevant experience considered considered in lieu of degreeDriver’s License with clean driving record (required)Knowledge of sales principles, tactics, and strategiesHigh degree of professionalism, dependability, self-direction, and time managementExcellent communication skills, including the ability to present information and sell products and services in a highly competitive environmentAbility to organize and balance multiple prioritiesAbility to travel up to 60% What we offer Competitive base salary ranging from $130,000 to $150,000 depending on applicable experience; eligibility for annual bonus based on company and individual performanceComprehensive Health Coverage: Multiple medical plan options (CDHP and PPO) to get you the coverage you needRobust Financial Security: Company-paid life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, plus options for supplemental critical illness, accident, and hospital indemnity plansGenerous Time Off: PTO plan with paid holidays, paid parental leave, and paid compassionate care leave to support personal well-being and family needsWellness & Support Programs: Employee Assistance Program (EAP), wellness incentives, and telehealth access Extras That Matter: Dental and vision plans, FSAs/HSAs with company contributions, pet insurance, legal services, and ID theft protection for peace of mindAn employee-centric company that values and truly appreciates our most important asset: You!
