Job Description of Stockroom Associate:
The role of UPS Stockroom Associate is crucial to the effective functioning of the company's logistics processes. This position requires individuals to load and unload packages to and from UPS brown trucks and trailers, and also sort them for prompt delivery. To excel in this position requires physical stamina, great attention to detail, and the ability to function effectively with diverse team members in a lively work environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Stockroom Associate:
Handle and transport parcels that weigh up to 70 lbs securely and responsibly.
Perform the task of taking material off and putting it on UPS trucks and trailers.
Categorize and organize the packages according to their size, shape, and weight to ensure proper handling and swift delivery.
Cooperate with coworkers to implement effective workflow systems.
Enforce safety protocols and standards to ensure the well-being of employees and customers.
Qualifications and Experience of Stockroom Associate:
Competent in lifting heavy items of up to 70 lbs.
To obtain the legal right to work in the U.S., an individual must have a valid Social Security number and work authorization from the U.S. government.
A strong commitment to being accountable and reliable in the workplace.
Attention to detail.
Having a pair of reliable work shoes is essential to ensure foot safety.
