Key Responsibilities As a State Sales Representative, your role will be multifaceted, focusing on driving new business opportunities and nurturing existing relationships. Your key responsibilities will include: Introducing InterSystems products and services to government agencies and systems integrators, highlighting their value and applications. Planning and executing sales strategies to drive new business opportunities with target organizations, leveraging your understanding of their needs. Building and maintaining strong relationships with Systems Integrators to ensure InterSystems technology is included in their proposals. Acting as the primary liaison between InterSystems and customer accounts, developing and enhancing business relationships through excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Representing InterSystems at sales and public sector-focused conferences, showcasing our products and services to a wider audience. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong background in software sales, particularly to state and local government agencies. The ideal candidate will have: A proven track record of 8+ years of software sales success to state and local government agencies, demonstrating your ability to navigate this complex landscape. Experience selling software and cloud solutions, including workflow, data platforms, and analytics, showing your understanding of the technology and its applications. A solid understanding of the state and local government contracting process, enabling you to identify and capitalize on opportunities. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, crucial for building strong relationships and representing InterSystems effectively. A Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience, providing a foundation for your sales expertise and industry knowledge. Preferred Qualifications While the above qualifications are essential, candidates who possess the following additional skills and experiences will stand out: A Master's degree in public health, public policy, public administration, business administration, data science, computer science, or a related field, demonstrating advanced knowledge and commitment to the field.
