Staffing Coordinator / Payroll Assistant
About the position
The Staffing Coordinator / Payroll Assistant plays a crucial role in a skilled nursing facility by managing staff scheduling and supporting payroll processes. This part-time position requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure adequate staffing levels and coordinate shift coverage while also handling payroll data entry and timekeeping tasks.
Responsibilities
Ā Complete and post monthly nursing schedule, coordinating requests to ensure appropriate coverage of units.

Ā Answer employee calls regarding scheduling issues, and prepare written correspondence as necessary.

Ā Consult with nursing department supervisors concerning staffing and scheduling needs.
,
Ā Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars for employee performance appraisals, reporting to the Director of Nursing Services all issues.
,
Ā Work with Human Resources and Director of Nursing Services when scheduling modified work duty employees in accordance with work restrictions and facility policy.
,
Ā Complete and update nursing department employee records and maintain records of current certifications and licenses for nursing department employees.
,
Ā Answer applicant calls regarding position availability and coordinate interviews.
,
Ā Communicate with Unit Managers to facilitate quality orientation programs, and provide each newly hired nursing personnel with an orientation schedule.
,
Ā Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
,
Ā Enter and maintain accurate payroll information.
,
Ā Assist with timekeeping and verifying hours worked.
,
Ā Support the HR team with staffing-related documentation and reports.
Requirements
Ā Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred.

Ā Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in this state.
,
Ā Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
,
Ā Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
