Staff Technical Program Manager: Core AI
About the position This role will be based in either San Francisco or Sunnyvale, California. This Sr.Staff Technical Program Management (TPM) will be accountable for driving successful outcomes across these high-impact, cross-functional AI initiatives that impact the LinkedIn's products. We are seeking someone who is an expert of the TPM craft—someone who brings deep technical program leadership, operational rigor, strategic judgment, execution, collaboration, and impact as Core AI turns bold ideas into reality. We are looking for individuals who have demonstrated technical leadership in development of AI native products from incubation to productization. Responsibilities • Support multiple cross-functional technical teams to deliver their objectives in fast-paced and complex programs and projects • Develop strong partnerships with engineering and product management leaders to drive focus on strategic and tactical program objectives • Create and drive programs to improve hardware usage across compute, storage, and network • Drive new organization-wide programs to ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability of the data ecosystem • Own and manage program and portfolio planning, execution of roadmap, and engineering operations for multiple verticals • Drive alignments and prioritization across all technology initiatives, manage roadmap for a single consistent view and lead communications • Build strategic relationships with key technology and business leaders to ensure program success • Drive teams and individuals in planning and executing roadmaps, releases, and work backlogs • Lead efforts to identify risks, resolve key project conflicts, and establish appropriate resolution paths • Fill in gaps across roles and functions as needed, performing as an adaptive problem solver • Report on project status or portfolio roadmap, risks, issues and mitigation plans • Create a collaborative work environment that fosters shared understanding, transparency, mastery, autonomy, innovation and continuous learning • Coach and mentor others in the best practices of modern planning and execution Requirements • B.S./B.A. Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience • 5+ years professional experience in an engineering or technical team, managing technical programs/projects • Experience with large scale AI systems and Generative AI Nice-to-haves • Experience managing company wide, large scale, high impact programs • Proven success on establishing organization-wide processes and communication framework for R&D initiatives • Direct work experience in a technical project management capacity to drive large technical initiatives including all aspects of process development and execution. • Knowledge of complex technical ecosystems and adequate technical depth • Experience managing multiple major and concurrent projects/programs executed through multiple geographic locations • Direct experience working with software engineering leadership, technical teams and individual contributors • Ability to quickly adapt to faster pace, shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities • 2+ years of hands-on software development experience • GenAI • Agentic Flows • Agentic Surfaces • Cross Functional Collaboration • Program Management Apply tot his job
