What you’ll do as a Staff Subcontracts AdministratorDeliver Cradle-to-Grave subcontract support from solicitation through subcontract closeoutCollaborate with Subcontracts teammates and Program Managers (PM’s) to identify and define subcontracting requirements, provide guidance concerning the required subcontract type (FFP, CPFF, T&M, etc.), and completion of all required backup documents to initiate and execute subcontract actionsEnsure that the subcontract is consistent with legal requirements, customer specifications and government regulationsAssist the Senior Subcontract Administrators in providing training to PM’s and Division Administrators on subcontract requirements as neededPrepare and disseminate information to appropriate employees regarding subcontract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and terminationStay up to date on subcontracting standards, legislation, plans and policiesBuild positive relationships with division partners and subcontractors by maintaining excellent internal and external customer service standardsProvide support and/or requests for information to co-workers, subcontractors, and auditorsInteract daily with internal and external customers Staff Subcontracts Administrator RequirementsDemonstrated knowledge/experience working in a cradle-to-grave federal subcontracting environment, beginning with the solicitation phase and ending with subcontract closeoutsDemonstrated knowledge/experience in FAR/DFAR requirementsDemonstrated knowledge/experience in negotiation and development of subcontractsExperience with government subcontract file documentation including CPSR requirements for federal acquisitionsExperience in a high-volume subcontract administration environmentExperience with various contract types including CPFF, FFP, T&M, and CRAbility to create and edit files in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Excel to create and edit documentsStaff Subcontracts Administrator PreferencesSharePoint experienceExperience using Deltek and/or CostPointEducation and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent3-5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree1-3 years of related experience with a Master’s degree6 years minimum of related experience in lieu of a degreeREMOTE WORK NOTICE: This position is available for fully remote or hybrid work consideration at or near the Washington, DC, Raleigh, NC or Albuquerque, NM areas.Company & Division InformationApplied Research Associates, Inc. is an employee-owned international research and engineering company recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems in the physical sciences.
