Within U4B, we are... looking for a staff software engineer and tech lead for our Guest Products which include Vouchers, Health, Central, and Transit.
What the Candidate Will Do ----
Β Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable and reliable backend systems for the Guest Product Teams
Β Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, business development, sales, and drive technical vision to scale our product offerings
Β Drive continuous improvement in system architecture and operational excellence, with a focus on reliability, security, performance, scalability, and maintainability
Β Stay current with the latest technologies and industry trends, evaluating and integrating new tools and methodologies as appropriate.
Β Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.
---- Basic Qualifications ----
Β Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
Β Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, Go or similar.
Β Strong experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
Β Min 8 years of Backend engineer experience
---- Preferred Qualifications ----
Β Demonstrated experience shipping enterprise products at scale with quality and velocity
Β Demonstrated experience with product growth hacking
Β Demonstrated org wide leadership skills including mentorship, roadmap development, and technical vision
Β A strong personal sense of engineering craftsmanship and a track record of up-leveling their organization through mentorship, process, and culture improvements
Β Highly proficient coding in Golang or Java
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$218,000 per year - USD$242,000 per year.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$218,000 per year - USD$242,000 per year.
