Staff Engineer - Developer Experience

We’re looking for a Staff Engineer to join Reddit’s Developer Experience team and help shape the way millions of users interact with the Reddit platform. In this role, you will use your expertise in software engineering to design and develop innovative solutions that improve the experience of developers who use Reddit’s APIs, SDKs and other tools. You will also define, lead, and execute projects to increase the effectiveness of our developer platform, and collaborate with other teams within Reddit to ensure that our developer tools always offer the best user experience.The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in software engineering, a passion for developing intuitive user experiences, excellent organizational skills, and a collaborative spirit. A successful Staff Engineer - Developer Experience will have a strong understanding of the latest technologies, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript• Experience with web technologies such as REST APIs, HTML, and CSS• Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL or Postgres• Good problem solving and analytical skills• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
