Staff Development Specialist II - State of North Carolina - Wake County, NC - work from home job Company: State of North Carolina Job description: Description of Work Salary Recruitment Range: $51,616 - $71,398 Salary Grade: NC15 This position currently qualifies for a hybrid telework option with routine office and remote workday. Primary Purpose of the Position: Position provides comprehensive consultation to users in the areas of staff development and training, pre-licensing and continuing education course and organizational development. Position spends the largest amount of time in problem identification, solving, consultation, resource development, need assessment, establishment of priorities, and the maintenance, development and implementation of evaluation capabilities using Moodle Learning Management System. Position spends some time in an up front training role. Position reports to the licensing, certification and education program manager. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies • Experience using Articulate 360. • Experience utilizing Moodle as an administrator and instructor. • Experience with video editing software such has Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Camtasia. • Knowledge of adult education training theories and the application of these in both principle and practice. • Ability to collect data, assess needs and to provide alternatives to management and the individual employee. • Ability to identify resources and to manage the utilization of the most cost effective and efficient application. • Ability to work with all levels of the management structure. • Selected candidates will need to submit a portfolio of previous work/projects to demonstrate knowledge.* Management Preferences: • Construction or real estate industry experience. • State agency or occupational licensing board experience. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of training development experience in a progressive training or teaching role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
