Key Responsibilities

As a Staff Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will own the end-to-end development and improvement of our display advertising measurement methodology. Your work will directly influence how we demonstrate value to our advertising partners and shape the future of retail media measurement. Here's what you can expect:


Develop and Improve Measurement Frameworks: Build and enhance our display advertising measurement techniques across multiple methodologies including sales lift, synthetic control groups, ghost ads, Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA), and A/B testing frameworks. You'll establish best practices that become industry standards.

Define Vision and Strategy: Create the strategic roadmap for display advertising measurement methodologies. Leverage your domain expertise, internal and external best practices, and market opportunity analysis to build compelling business cases and secure executive approval for ambitious objectives.

Build Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate collaborative relationships with key internal and external partners. Align priorities to business goals, communicate effectively across departments, and influence product roadmaps to ensure measurability and data-driven decision making.

Lead Product Management: Manage product roadmaps from conception through launch. Align business and technical requirements, determine rollout strategies, and proactively manage risks while balancing multiple competing priorities.

Executive Engagement: Continuously engage with senior leadership and stakeholders to ensure alignment across initiatives and effectively manage interdependencies between teams and products.

Simplify Complex Concepts: Translate intricate modeling methodologies into clear, compelling narratives that connect quantitative results with real-world business problems. Make the complex accessible for diverse audiences.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline data science solutions, ensuring scalability and maintainability of analytical frameworks.

Data Integration & Innovation: Integrate disparate data sources and leverage modern analytics best practices to deliver integrated, actionable insights to partners and senior leadership regarding virtual advertising optimization.

Present Strategic Insights: Present media insights and recommendations to various levels of senior stakeholders, from detailed technical reviews to executive strategy sessions.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you'll need:


A Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field

6+ years of professional experience in Data Science, Measurement, Advertising Strategy & Analytics, Ad-Tech, Mar-Tech, or related fields

Proficient coding skills in SQL, Python, or R, with strong database knowledge

Proven experience building measurement solutions including sales lift, ghost ads, Marketing Mix Modeling, and Multi-Touch Attribution models

Extensive experience with predictive modeling algorithms and statistical analysis techniques

Experience in Product Management or a related field, with the ability to bridge technical and business requirements

Strong project management skills, including managing technical resources and multiple priorities and milestones simultaneously

A passion for working in a fast-paced, agile environment where innovation is rewarded

A collaborative attitude and natural sense of curiosity that drives continuous learning

Sound business judgment coupled with the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize effectively

Preferred Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field

Experience in end-to-end product delivery, including self-serve platforms, design, user experiences, automation, optimizations, and data analytics

Deep expertise in retail media networks and their unique measurement challenges

Experience with machine learning operations and productionizing data science models at scale


Compensation & Benefits

At arenaflex, we believe in rewarding exceptional talent with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. The annual salary range for this position is $160,000.00 - $230,000.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
