Remote - Must be local to Irvine, CA
Responsibilities
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced, Staff Accountant Contractor to support our finance and accounting team on a contractual basis, approx. 30-40 hours per week. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Staff Accountant Contractor will play a key role in maintaining day to day activity, cost accounting, and supporting month end close activities.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
Proficiency in financial software (ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Medical Devices or Manufacturing

Cost accounting, familiarity with standard cost systems, BOM set up and variance analysis.
Fixed Asset management.
Perform monthly account reconciliations.
Prepare monthly journal entries.
Support day-to-day operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable and production accounting.
Support year-end financial audit; provide documents and support to external auditors as requested.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour
