In Supplier Performance Engineering we're finding innovative, collaborative ways to improve delivery and quality of our suppliers creating vital link between our supply chain, internal factories and our customers.The Sr Supplier Quality Engineer provides technical experience across multiple programs and products, both electrical and mechanical, working directly with suppliers daily, influencing and working closely with the sourcing commodity leadership teams, Quality and NPD. The successful candidate should be able to effectively communicate with senior management, have a big picture strategic mindset, handle multiple priorities, influence, and solve complex problems.This is a remote role covering Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana, and candidate must live within one of these states.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop positive relationships and work closely with quality leaders to manage, implement and track supplier improvementsPerform process and product audits for proactive risk managementSupport authorities (FAA, EASA, CAAC) and customer auditsCreate and participate in PFMEA activities, Work Instruction Improvements, and Control Plan effectiveness with suppliersEnsure supplier compliance while driving systematic problem solving and process improvement plans to deliver performanceEvaluate/develop prospective supplier Quality SystemEvaluate/develop procedures for compliance to contractual and regulatory requirementsMonitor supplier Quality metrics associated with supplier capability, trends and related production improvement effortsTrain associates, suppliers, and contract personnel in Six Sigma techniquesDrive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to prevent defectsWork on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factorsProvide technical insight to analyze risks and opportunitiesCOMPENSATIONThe annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is 93k-125k. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is 93k-125k. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
