In Sourcing, you'll apply your knowledge of supply chain to drive the success and growth of Target's owned brands. The Sourcing team starts at the very earliest stages of product development, builds out the costing models and tracks where product stands at every step in the production cycle, from overseas shipping to our import warehouses, distribution centers and stores. And since Target is indeed a global company, in this role you will work closely with your overseas team to analyze macro trends and build out a comprehensive sourcing strategy. You'll be a close point-of-contact with Target team members in sourcing offices located in 20 countries around the globe, and you'll support their work as liaisons among buyers, product developers and overseas partners. As a Close to Business Senior Sourcing Manager, you will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team including Target Merchants and Product Design and Development to turn ideas into the merchandise on our stores' shelves and online channels. You will be responsible for partnering with overseas and western hemisphere sourcing as well as external suppliers to deliver high-quality, trend-right merchandise at a great value to our guests. You will drive sourcing strategies that align to strategic business goals and the critical needs of the category, as well as utilize advanced negotiating skills to help Target achieve our financial plans. You will build and present costing and profitability scenarios and options to business and design team. You will develop and manage a supplier matrix strategy that achieves global balance, optimal performance, and delivers on cost, quality, and responsible sourcing expectations.
