Sr. Software Engineer In Test
About the position The Sr. Software Engineer in Test will focus on designing and developing scalable end-to-end testing frameworks for various components including data stores, data pipelines, services, and web front-ends. This role involves automating data validation, performing API load testing, and ensuring system and data security. The engineer will lead the automation testing infrastructure and strategy to support cloud continuous integration and delivery, while collaborating with product management and quality assurance teams to ensure high-quality releases. Responsibilities • Design and develop scalable end-to-end testing frameworks for data stores, data pipelines, services, and web front-end. • Perform data validation automation and API load testing. • Architect and lead the automation testing infrastructure and strategy for cloud CI/CD. • Evaluate existing automation frameworks and improve testing procedures. • Lead efforts to improve code coverage and close gaps in automated testing. • Develop comprehensive testing strategies for functional, integration, and performance tests. • Research and prototype new tools to drive architectural decisions. • Work with product management and quality assurance to produce high-quality releases. • Document test cases and create focused testing plans. • Partner with Quality Assurance Engineers to develop automated regression testing. Requirements • BS in software engineering, computer science, or related field. • 6+ years of experience with web and API automation testing. • Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures. • Proficient in CI/CD pipeline development. • Solid experience with GIT and source control. • Strong communication skills and a passion for solving complex problems. • Desire to learn and continually improve. Nice-to-haves • 6+ years' experience in software development with languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL. • Experience in data pipeline testing such as ETL tests and data warehouse tests. • Experience in chaos engineering. • Experience in BDD, Locust, Playwright, and other testing platforms.
