Sr. Scientist, Vector Biology
Legend Biotech is seeking Sr. Scientist, Vector Biology as part of the Research and Development team based in Philadelphia, PA.
Key Responsibilities
? Hands-on work in developing, performing and optimizing lentiviral vector (LVV) production.
? Design and test various LVV payloads for developing chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy.
? Upstream and/or downstream process development using suspension cell culture with scale up in bioreactor
? Works independently in planning, performing, analyzing, reporting and presenting experimental data and future technology transfer
? Supports LVV production for internal research teams
? Prepare all technical reports needed in support of an exploratory project moving to process development.
? Interacts cross-functionally within the process development and analytical organizations, as well as with other departments (regulatory, quality, manufacturing, clinical, supply chain).
Requirements
? BS degree with 4+ years; MS degree with 5+ years; PhD with minimum 3+ years in virology, molecular biology, cell & gene therapy or related field.
? Experience in lentiviral vector production and characterization
? Comfortable in a fast-paced biotech environment and able to adjust workload based upon priorities
