We celebrate wins big and small, whether it's a successful project or a fun team event.If you’re looking for a place where tech and fun collide, come join us and see what makes Protera a great place to work.What You’ll DoThe Senior SAP Architect will lead the end-to-end architectural design, process, and technical strategy for enterprise-grade SAP products built on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).This role will drive blueprinting, modernization, and scalable integration of Multi-Target Applications (MTAs) using the Cloud Application Programming (CAP) model and other cloud business solutions.Critical to This Role: ERP & Business Process ExpertiseThis is not purely a technical architecture role.The Architect must bring strong ERP experience and business process expertise, with the ability to:Lead conversations around core enterprise processes (Finance, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, etc.)Translate functional requirements into scalable, well-architected technical solutionsBridge business and engineering teams with confidence and clarityWe are specifically looking for either:A functional SAP professional with deep ERP process knowledge who is passionate about custom applications and architectureORA technical SAP professional who wants to expand into functional design and business architectureThe ideal candidate can discuss business process challenges and immediately formulate the corresponding technical solution architecture.Architectural AccountabilityYou will design highly available, secure, and performant platform components across:TypeScript-based NodeJS CAP service architecturesEnterprise CDS domain modelingHANA and PostgreSQL data architectureIdentity & Access architecture (XSUAA, IAS/IPS, OAuth2, SAML, JWT)SAP Destination & Connectivity framework designReact-based UI architectureYou will also guide strategy across:SAPUI5 modernization approachesCloud-native architecture principles (eventing, microservices, containerization)End-to-end DevOps architectureECC → S/4HANA transition strategyYou will serve as the technical and process authority across engineering, product, SAP ABAP teams, and business stakeholders.RequirementsWhat You BringYou will act as the primary decision-maker for solution design, ERP alignment, and architectural governance.Core RequirementsStrong ERP experience with deep business process expertiseProven ability to lead business process discussions and convert them into technical solutionsExperience operating in one of the following profiles:Functional-first SAP professional expanding into architectureTechnical-first SAP professional moving into functional/business architectureDemonstrated ability to design end-to-end ERP-aligned extension architectures on SAP BTPTechnical RequirementsExpert-level NodeJS architecture experienceExpert-level TypeScript proficiencyDeep experience with SAP BTP platform architectureMastery of MTA and CAP frameworksStrong cross-platform integration expertiseAdvanced experience with React in SAP BTP ecosystemsExtensive SAP ecosystem knowledge (S/4, ECC, OData, RFC, IDoc)Optional QualificationsExperience with SAP FI/COExperience with SAP SDABAP extensibility and integration pattern experienceSAPUI5/UI5 enterprise architecture experienceExperience in global/distributed SAP landscapesWhy Join Protera?
