WHAT DOES THIS JOB HOLD FOR YOU?

Key Responsibilities:
• Advanced Test Design & Execution:
• Develop and execute sophisticated test plans, including functional, regression, performance, usability, and security testing across multiple platforms.
• Identify critical test areas and apply advanced techniques such as exploratory testing, risk-based testing, and boundary value analysis.
• Validate end-to-end workflows, especially for systems involving POS, KDS, and Kiosk applications.
• Defect Management & Analysis:
• Conduct root cause analysis and provide detailed defect reports with actionable insights.
• Track and prioritize defects effectively to align with development timelines.
• Identify recurring defect patterns to recommend proactive quality improvements.
• Automation & Framework Development:
• Lead the creation and maintenance of automated test frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage.
• Implement strategies for integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, particularly for systems requiring hardware integrations like POS and KDS.
• Mentorship & Leadership:
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members, fostering their growth and skill development.
• Review test cases, test scripts, and documentation to ensure alignment with quality standards.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and lead QA initiatives to enhance team performance.
• Compliance & Regulatory:
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct audits and reviews to mitigate potential risks related to quality or compliance.
• Quality Assurance Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead efforts to enhance QA methodologies and tools.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices to ensure the QA team adopts the latest innovations.

WHAT YOU BRING

The Level III QA Engineer is a senior role within the quality assurance team, serving as a subject matter expert in QA practices and processes. This position demands advanced knowledge of testing methodologies, complex system architectures, and the ability to independently lead quality initiatives. The role includes designing comprehensive test strategies, mentoring junior testers, conducting in-depth defect analysis, and driving continuous improvement across QA practices. Experience with Point of Sale (POS), Kitchen Display Systems (KDS), and Kiosk applications is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage. You will report to the QA Lead of our client.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance testing.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and advanced testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with testing tools, test management systems, and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
• Programming Knowledge:
• Experience with scripting and programming languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems.
• Domain Expertise:
• Hands-on experience with POS, KDS, and Kiosk systems is highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Understanding of hardware integrations and payment workflows is a strong plus.
• Leadership Skills:
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage workloads, and drive quality initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex ideas and defect reports effectively.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex systems, identify root causes of defects, and provide actionable insights for improvement.

Preferred Qualification:
• Advanced certifications in QA (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Level, Certified Test Manager).
• Experience with performance and security testing tools and frameworks.
• Background in testing high-complexity systems involving both software and hardware integrations.
